I'm from Nova Scotia, now in Ontario=I always thought the women (even men) of Montreal dressed with elan even when dressing down.

Yes indeed especially now with summer around the corner.The streets will be full of nice things to look at.The city is pursuiing it's renovations . Here is Pine ave with it's original old style lamps .The parks use the Montreal park lamp post and the Washington lamp post and so does the residential areas.

...in a related tangent, the lore is that if you get a ticket (in QC province) and don't pay it, they will not let you back across the border, or will impound your car (some such) when doing so. Those rules are insane........ I generally have good thoughts when I think of Canada..... trains, woods, animals, etc....... living there must be like trying to walk on eggshells with out breaking them, Though.Quote:

Yes same here . But on the Quartier des Spectacles I would recommend to take it easy on those modern lamp posts.I'll post pictures next year.
Nice job on the Nokia theater across the Staple center in LA.
There's one more complex that is important to mention. The VIGER CHATEAU in Montreal.
Declared historical monument built in the late 1890's and disaffected for the last 6 years or so.
It's structure is falling apart. It would be a shame not to preserve and restore this magnificent building.
